6-Day Go to Kenya Mid-Range Lodge Safari

This 6-Day Go to Kenya Mid-Range Lodge Safari is a private driving safari in Kenya. You will visit three Major Parks in Kenya, namely; Amboseli National Park, famous for hosting over 1600 free-ranging elephants, and a view of Mt.Kilimanjaro, Lake Nakuru, renowned for hosting over 100 Rhinos and millions of flamingos. You later head to Masai Mara, the highlight of every safari in Kenya, and the dream of many clients. You will pass by Lake Naivasha for a boat ride. Finally, head back to Nairobi for a Nairobi excursion. This package can be customized to fit your preferred lodge category and budget.

Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Your safari will start with a pick-up around 7 am at the JKIA airport or your hotel in Nairobi. After a brief meet and greet, our office representative will hand you over to your driver-guide. You will later drive to Amboseli National Park.

You will arrive at Amboseli National Park a few minutes before lunch. Check-in at Amboseli Sentrim Camp. Freshen up and have a hot lunch.

Around 4 pm, after having some time to relax, you will head for an afternoon game drive.

The highlight of this park is the presence of over 1600 free-ranging elephants, spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, and a chance to get the best snapshots of the amazing African sunsets and sunrises.

After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for a hot dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

Today the program is flexible; you have two options to choose from:

Option one: You may opt to have an early morning game drive, return for a hot breakfast, freshen up, and spend the rest of the mid-morning at leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive. Finally, return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Option two: You may have an early breakfast and proceed for a whole day game drive with packed lunch. Return to the camp for dinner and turn in for the night.

Day 3: Amboseli National Park – Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast at the camp, you will head to Lake Nakuru National Park.

On your way, you will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a panorama view of the escarpment.

You will then proceed and arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Check-in at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp. Freshen up and proceed for a hot lunch.

At around 4 pm, after having some time to relax, you will head for an afternoon game drive. The game drive starts at the gate since the camp is inside the park.

This park is renowned for hosting thousands, sometimes millions of flamingos, hundreds of both black and white rhinos, and highly endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Also, it has the best scenery and opportunity to see Makalia Waterfall.

After the game drive, you will head to the camp to freshen up and proceed for a freshly prepared hot dinner. Later have overnight at the camp.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

After having breakfast, you will head to Masai Mara, one of Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserves.

You will proceed and arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch. Check-in at La Maison Tented Camp. Have some time to rest after having a hot lunch.

Around 4 pm, proceed for an afternoon game drive.

Masai Mara is the highlight of every safari in Kenya. The reserve has the highest concentration of wildlife in Kenya.

In case your safari falls from July to October, You will have the privilege to witness the 7th wonder of the world, the annual wildebeest migration, especially while crossing the crocodile-loaded river Mara.

After the game drive, we will head back to the camp to freshen up and enjoy dinner. Have overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Masai Mara National Reserve

Today’s program is also very flexible; you can choose between three options.

Option 1: Breakfast and exit the lodge with a packed lunch for a whole day game drive at the Mara Reserve, searching for the Big 5 and other animals.

Option 2: You may opt to have an early morning game drive in search of the big cat and the killings, return for breakfast, freshen up, and spend the rest of the mid-morning at your leisure, either swimming in the pool or just relaxing. Later have lunch and proceed for the evening game drive around 4 pm, searching for Big Five and other animals.

Option 3: Go on for an optional hot air balloon ride (USD 450pp) in the early morning, followed by mid-morning game drives before driving to the lodge for lunch. Later have an afternoon game drive together with an optional Masai village visit.

After the game drive, you will head to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Masai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi

Have an early game drive. Return to the lodge to freshen up and have a hot breakfast. Around 10 Am, exit the lodge and head back to Nairobi.

Depending on your flight back home, you will have a stopover at Lake Naivasha for a Hippo boat ride and animal sanctuary tour.

You will proceed with your journey to Nairobi, where you will spend the day with optional activities depending on your flight schedule. Some Nairobi excursions are; a visit to the David Sheldrick Elephant orphanage, a visit to the Giraffe Center, a Visit to Maasai Market, Dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant for meat lovers, etc.
