Truly amazing memories were made! - We would absolutely recommend Amazing Memories to anyone going on a safari. There are a number of companies to choose from, and we had done a lot of research, and... read more I’m so grateful we went with this company! From the beginning of our contact with Amazing Memories all through our actual safari, we had such a great experience! Communication was excellent, Anne in particular in the office was so helpful in answering questions and creating the personalized itinerary for our 2 week private safari to Kenya and Tanzania. Any issues with the booking were promptly handled, and we felt really well cared for - they went over and above and we didn’t have to worry about anything once we got there.
We also can’t recommend our driver in Kenya enough. Francis was the utmost professional: he is a safe driver, respectful and knowledgeable of the animals, and took such great care of all of our needs. He taught us so much about the wildlife, a ton of Swahili words, and was such a great guide. It was a true joy being with him for 8 days, and we were sad to say goodbye.
All of the lodging options were also incredible. It was great to have options to choose from in advance, and we absolutely loved the quality and service of the camps and lodges that were suggested. The lodging really added to our experience, and we would highly recommend most of the places we stayed. We particularly recommend:
Kibo Safari Camp in Amboseli
Flamingo Hill Tent Camp in Lake Nakuru
Sarova Mara Game Camp in Maasai Mara
Serengeti Serena Lodge
Tarangire Simba Tented Lodge
And most importantly, our safari experience was absolutely magical! This company’s name is spot on creating amazing memories. Every single day there was something very special that we saw and experienced. The extra add ons with the hippo boat ride, nature walk, hot anir balloon ride, and bush flight to save time were all perfect suggestions. We are both so grateful for this trip and will never forget all that we experienced. Thank you Amazing Memories!

About the Crater: The Ngorongoro Conservation Area as a whole has much to offer, but the jewel in its crown is, without a doubt, the eponymous crater – an area of 265 sq km, which is 610 meters deep and 19 km across. The rim of the crater is an astounding 2286 meters above sea level. The floor contains a small soda lake called Lake Magadi, and it is estimated that 30000 animals live in the crater, making it the most intensive safari game viewing area on earth. It was therefore very fittingly declared a World Heritage Site in 1978. A visit to Tanzania is incomplete without a safari visit to the park.
